Q. I downloaded my sound pack, but what do I do next?
A. Any time you download a 4, 8 or 16-sound from the FOXPRO website it is going to be in a compressed or .zip format. This format allows us to take the 16 sound files that you are purchasing and place them into a virtual container of sorts that is smaller in size. By doing this all files are sent to you in one convenient package rather than sending you each file independently.

Most of the newer operating systems will have built-in compression handling software which means that no secondary software will be required. If you are having trouble opening up the .zip file that you download from FOXPRO, the easiest place to start is by ensuring that your operating system is set up to handle compressed files.

You can download a free .zip reader utility right from the FOXPRO website or by clicking on the following link (make sure that you save the file in a location that you can get to easily for installing the software):

http://www.gofoxpro.com/zipreader.exe

Once you have downloaded this program, execute it (by double-clicking on the icon) to install the program to your PC. After you have installed this program you will notice that all .zip files will have a unique icon that indicates they are associated with this new software.

You will now be able to double-click on the icon for your 16-sound pack and be able to view the contents of the file. You should now be able to see 16 individual sounds. Use the menus on the top of the screen to work through extracting these files from the .zip file to a determined location on your PC.

After you have extracted the files to the desired location, you can begin the normal programming process.
