Windows 98SE Driver
Users of Windows98 SE must download this driver to allow their computer to recognize
their FX Series units.

Installing the Windows 98SE Driver
This is a fairly easy task to perform, but if you are not familiar with basic PC operating procedures or installing hardware
you may want to consult a local PC technician to get help.
We will base this process upon the assumption that you have not yet connected the FX Series game call to your PC-if you have
connected the unit to your PC there may be more work involved. If you attached the unit to your PC before having the driver
ready, Windows may have tried to locate an appropriate driver somewhere else. Being as though there's no way for Windows to
obtain the driver for you automatically it would have installed the unit as an "unknown device" or flagged it with an exception
in your device manager. If this has happened you will need to enter your device manager (make sure the unit is connected to
the PC), locate the "unknown device" and remove it from the system. It may ask you to restart your computer. After doing this,
follow the steps below.
The first thing we need to do is download the driver to your PC. You can access the driver from the download button shown above.
When you click on the download button, choose "Save" and place in a location that is easy to access. After the file has been downloaded
you need to execute the install file by double-clicking on the icon. Doing this will save a copy of the driver file to the
following folder on your PC:
C:\FX3 Drivers\
Now we can connect the FX Series game call to your PC. After you have plugged it in to the USB port you should see a message
stating "New hardware found". It may prompt you to continue. It will then ask you for the location of the driver file. This
screen will have several check boxes with various destinations. The last destination should state "Specify a location" with
a browse button. Click on the browse button and navigate to the C:\FX3 Drivers\ folder. Once you have that folder selected you
should be able to hit the OK button and finish the installation.
Windows may begin to find a lot of different items and start displaying messages on your screen. Just wait until everything
has been finished before continuing any further. After the installation portion has been completed you can access your "My
Computer" icon to locate the FX Series game call. It will now be assigned a drive letter like E: F: or G: -- figure out which
one it is and double-click on it. You should now be viewing the contents of the unit.
Before you disconnect the game call from your PC you may be required to "unplug" or "eject" the device. If you look down by
your clock on your task bar you may see a green colored icon. If you right click on this icon you may have an option of "unplug
or eject removable media"-always click on this before disconnecting the unit from your PC. The operating system may not have
finished writing data down to the internal memory and unplugging the cable unsafely may result in loss of data or file
corruption.
