“It is unlawful to use any recorded or electrically amplified
bird or animal calls, sounds or imitation of bird or animal calls or
sounds to assist in the hunting, taking, killing or capturing of any
wildlife except predatory animals per MC 87-3-108.”

“It is illegal to use a recorded or electrically amplified game call to hunt big game.”

87-3-108. Restrictions on use of reproduced sounds - It is unlawful to
use any recorded or electrically amplified bird or animal calls or
sounds or recorded or electrically amplified imitations of bird or
animal calls or sounds to assist in the hunting, taking, killing, or
capturing of wildlife, except predatory animals and those birds not
protected by state or federal law.
After a discussion with an
officer, FOXPRO was informed that electronic calls and decoys may be
used for fox, coyote, bobcat, and raccoon only. Montana prohibits
the use of electronic calls and decoys on big game, turkey, and crows.
Crows are considered a federally protected migratory game bird.
