Turkey
Hunting methods
Several rules apply to the methods that may be used to hunt turkeys in Utah.
Live decoys and electronic calls
Utah Admin. Code R657-54-11
You may not use live decoys; recordings or tapes of turkey calls or sounds; or electronically amplified imitations of turkey calls to take turkeys.

Contact person Mitch Lane stated that a person may not use recorded or electrically amplified bird calls or sounds or recorded or electronically amplified imitations of bird calls or sounds to hunt WATERFOWL. No where in Utah State law does it say you can not use electronic/amplified calls or mechanical decoys to hunt UPLAND GAME, BIG GAME, or FURBEARERS, except: "A person may not take a wild turkey by the use or aid of live decoys, records or tapes of turkey calls or sounds, or electronically amplified imitations of turkey calls.”
