Wildfire 1 versus Wildfire 2

The main difference between the original Wildfire and the Wildfire 2 is that the Wildfire 2 features a USB port (see image below) for reprogramming. The original Wildfire featured a removable micro SD memory card only. In addition, the Wildfire 2 remote control features 20 volume steps instead of 10 volume steps on the original Wildfire remote. To determine which Wildfire you have, remove the back access panel from the Wildfire and compare it to the image below. If your Wildfire has the USB port like the image below, you have the Wildfire 2. Please note that the serial numbers and FCC ID labels on the Wildfire 2 models all begin with "WF1".

Easy to use, very effective, fastest call in time on a coyote, approx 15 seconds. Fox Bang works great, 3 coyotes came in shot on at 30 yards, the other two returned when Fox Bang went to coyote in distress. Speaker could be a little better at high volume, Screen on control at low light can be a little hard to read. Overall very pleased. Very lightweight easy to pack in the bush.

Well this is my first one to buy. I call a coyote in 4 min to my back yard where I killed it. I will say this work great and can not wait to try it out again.

Just purchased a Wildfire and I love it, I would recommend this caller to anyone from a new hunter to a hunter with years of experience. I owned the Spitfire before and it is much the same with a few upgrades that make it much better. The fox bang is a excellent feature and the caller is able to hold 200 sounds if needed, sound is excellent and the sound is quite loud. I use a tripod with my Wildfire that allows the sound to travel that much better.

Took this call into the field yesterday for the time to do a little crow hunting. Within about 2 minutes we had about 20 crows overhead. We did this at several different stands and killed quite a few. That night I took the call with me in the deer stand to see if I could call in a coyote and my neighbor killed one about 400 yards from me that was headed straight for me. Overall I am very impressed with the volume and sound quality of this Fox Pro and I can't wait to try it again.

What a great product for a good price. I recieved the Wildfire in the mail at 11 am and by 3 pm was out hunting, first stand 5 minutes with the jack distress and 2 coyotes came running in. Second stand had a nice Grey Fox in 3 minutes. Great sounds, easy to use and the FOX BANG option is great although don't bump the remote on anything hard like a shotgun stock or it might activate the FOX BANG unexpectidly. The Wildfire is the real deal for beginners or experts and won't break the bank with hundreds of great sounds to choose from.

I am impressed, so far. I called in a bobcat within about 30 seconds, on the second time using it. Called in a coyote on the 5 stand, in 2 days, but couldn't get it to stop. Overall it seems easy to use. Going to try to add some sounds on it this weekend, we'll see how that goes. Have had a few question for support, and they are johnny on the spot, as well. This is the first electronic call I have ever owned or used, pretty easy to opperate for a newbee.

So far I have taken this call our once and had a coyote at 300 yards with about 27 min on the first stand but this length of time is probably due to the fact that I'm kind of new to coyote hunting. I broke down and decided to get this call because I wanted to yote hunt so bad and with being a broke college student I wanted the most bang for my buck and I believe I got it! Great call foxpro! Next time add a few more sounds and we'd be even happier!!

Tremendous value for the price. Excellent call. Have not hunted any coyotes with it yet, but I anticipate many successful hunts using the WF2. Great job FOXPRO. I also own the SKYOTE, which is also very effective open reed.

Great sound quality and realistic noises. Volume was fine for me the single speaker boomed and echoed in the valley I was hunting and the remote worked flawlessly at 100+ yards. Called in a nice bobcat middle of the day in 105 degree weather first trip out. Cat was so focused on the sound he walked right by me and a friend at less than 15 yards in broad daylight. Save your money buying less expensive calls. This one is worth every penny.

I would have to say that I am a proficient and accomplished hunter, but very new to the world of predator calling. I took the unit out the very first weekend I had the opportunity to and took two coyotes my first time ever in my life quite an awesome feeling. I went with FoxPro because of those that I talked to were in agreement they were about the best, and glad I did. Easy to use and operate. Cant believe it took me this long to get involved in the sport but this first experience has got me hooked. I must say though that if there is a negative anywhere it would be in the difficulty in reading the display on the remote, however I am 50 yrs old and still think I do not need glasses, take it for what it is worth. It is not that hard to read in bright daylight, or in the dark, but that in between light is difficult, especially in a blind. This is my only reason for 4 stars, otherwise it would be a strong 5 stars.

Great call for your money. Easy to use, easy to pack into the woods, loud, good quality sound, and easy to download/ add/change new sounds. I have owned my foxpro wildfire2 for a little over a year now, and have had many great hunts with it. For hunting in MI., where there is a lot of thick brush, this call does great.

First day I had the wildfire I set up on three stands and on my third stand 20 minutes into the call here came a red fox running up to the call ever since then it is so easy calling coyote and foxes in with the wildfire.

Awesome call. I took it out for the first time and set it up along with a spinning rabbit tail and 4 and a half min later while I was looking else where I heard something bang against the call and it was a female coyote running around the called. Then on my second stand I had the call on for 1 min 26 sec before a big male coyote came running in. Great success with this call. Looking forward to many more great hunts.

Let's start with this, I am a novice hunter and have tried other e-callers. I purchased a cheaper Amazon E-Caller and used it side by side with the WF2. Needless to say I have returned the Amazon caller and purchased me a WF2. My experience with WF2. First 4 outings successfully called in 3 coyotes in less than 15 min, 2 came in within 5 min! I live in Central IL and hunting in month of May. I am very pleased with the quality and duration of the sounds from Foxpro! Much better than cheaper e-callers. I have had great success with the Cottontail, JackRabbit, Lightning Jack. Have not had to use and hope I don't but keep hearing amazing stories of FoxPro Customer Service! Even when I called to ask questions about WF2 the guy was very knowledgable. Pros: Small Size, Durable, Cheap Easy to Find Batteries. Loud, Crisp, and Clear Speaker. FoxBang and Presets. Red Backlit Remote. Huge Variety of Sounds. Sounds seem to have longer durations compared to the cheap e-caller. Cons: Remote - I feel that the remote could be improved some when it comes to scrolling sounds. I dont like how it jumps screens when scrolling. This is minor as I still purchased this unit and love it!

My hats off!!! Totally thrilled with customer service. If you want a good product, buy foxpro, if you want great customer service, don't even consider anything else! Was disappointed with the range of my remote. Called in and received an rma number to send back. Put it on ups and received a call the next day from a real live person telling me they received it and would get right on it. Impressed to begin with. Then, three business days later it shows up on ups. They stated they could duplicate the issue, but noticed the remote pad was not working properly so the replaced the keypad and, oh by the way, we wanted to replace the transmitter and receiver just to make sure, so they did. Thanks for your business, no charge! Buy foxpro, these guys are impressive!

I have had the wild fire 2 for a year now and have to say its well worth the money. I use it for hunting many different animals and have had nothing but success with it. It has called crows in from miles away that I never even saw around. Great sound and easy to use and it has great battery life as well. All around im very happy with this caller and will definitely buy this caller or another one again. Plus the fact that its made in the USA is a plus too.

I like the call but the remote is very hard to see in dim light and cannot be operated with even thin gloves

It doesn't get any better for hunting the Western PA woodlots for Gray Fox than this call. Portable, loud and light. A+ performance from the Mark II and classic fox sounds.
